Obituary: Dennis H. Borders, 54, Bardstown

Dennis H. Borders, 54, of Bardstown, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born May 19, 1962, in Bardstown. He loved sports and was an avid card player. He attended Mill Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bennie and Della Gilkey; and paternal grandmother, Maggie Beavers.

He is survived by four children, Jessica (Brad) Leake of Bloomfield, Justin Borders, Janna Borders, and Carson, Jury all of Bardstown; two grandchildren, Natalie Leake and Anthony Borders; his parents, Harold and Linda Borders of Bardstown; and one brother, Ronald Bruce Borders of Bardstown.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery with Bro. Danny Haynes officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 2016 and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
