Go-kart driver injured in racing accident at Nelson County fairgrounds

Saturday, Aug. 8, 2016, 10:45 p.m. — A go-kart driver was injured Saturday night in races held at the Nelson County Fairgrounds. Nelson County EMS responded to the track after the 22-year-old male driver was injured when he maneuvered to avoid hitting another go-kart and the vehicle he was operating rolled over. EMS transported the driver to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
