Community clinic to host Medicare educational seminar on Aug. 29

Monday, Aug. 8, 2016 — The Nelson County Community Clinic will hold a free educational seminar concerning Medicare at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 
2016, at the Nelson County Public Library.
The community clinic is working with the Lincoln Trail Area Development District State Health Insurance Assistance Program (LTADD SHIP).
The presenter, Carol Baldwin of Lincoln Trail ADD will speak on the recent changes to Medicare. She will stress the importance of receiving good information from the correct sources when enrolling in Medicare for the first time.
Each year Medicare has an Open Enrollment Period for the Prescription Drug Plans. The Clinic will be assisting with this enrollment process from October 15 thru December 7.
Every person that has a Prescription Drug Plan should review the updated plans to ensure that they are in the best plan.
