Miriam Dawson Hagan, 85, New Haven

Miriam Dawson Hagan, 85 of New Haven, died May 18, 2011, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.  She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Edna Dawson; two sons, Joseph Raphael Hagan and Joseph Ignatius Hagan; and four brothers, Bill Dawson, Bobby Dawson, Frank Dawson, and Rev. Joe Dawson.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, William Paul Hagan; four sons, Dr. Patrick L. Hagan (Gianina), Fred Hagan (Pat), Steve Hagan (Mary), Dr. Bill Hagan (Brenda) all of Bardstown; three daughters, Nancy Nusz (H.R.) and Helen Hagan of Louisville, and Martha Stiles (Lanny) of New Haven; three sisters, Aline Pytleski (Jack), Camilla Dawson, and Mary Ann Bowling (Jerry); a brother, Tommy Dawson (Dawn); 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011, at St. Catherine Church, Main St., New Haven, with burial in the church cemetery.  Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday at William. R. Rust Funeral Home, Main St., New Haven.  A prayer service will be held at 7:00 Friday at the funeral home.
