Obituary: Joseph C. ‘Chuck’ Blanford, 50, Holy Cross
Joseph C. “Chuck” Blanford, 50, of Holy Cross, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at his residence. He was born Nov. 19, 1965, in Nelson County. He was a farmer and an employee of Heaven Hill Brands in Bardstown.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Earl “Frankie” Blanford Sr.; and one brother, Earl Blanford, Jr.
Survivors include his mother, LaVern Wortham Blanford of Holy Cross; two sisters, Cindy Hobbs (Mike) of New Haven and Denise Hagan (Louis) of Holy Cross; one brother, Greg Blanford of Holy Cross; one sister-in-law, Robin Blanford of Holy Cross; one niece, Renee Boblett; four nephews, Aaron Blanford, Chris Hagan, Blake Blanford and C. J. Baker; one great-niece, Raegan Boblett; and three great-nephews, Isaac Hagan, Bryce Boblett and Luke Clark.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 59 New Haven Road, Loretto, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Bryan T. Lamberson will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
The pallbearers are Greg Blanford, Louis Hagan, Mike Hobbs, Blake Blanford, Aaron Blanford and Chris Hagan.
The Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
