Obituary: Harold Cruse Jr., 75, Sonora
Harold Cruse Jr., 75, of Sonora, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was born July 19, 1941 to the late Harold Sr. and Margaret Brawner Cruse. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. He was retired from the LaRue County Road Department. 
He was a farmer, a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandparents, Tommy Ed and Dora Brawner, and Judd and Ora Cruse.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn Logsdon Cruse of Sonora; one daughter, Shonda (Elroy) Beeler of Sonora; one son, Fabian Cruse of Sonora; one sister, Brenda (Maynard) Brown of Elizabethtown; one granddaughter, Tiffany (Patrick) Skaggs of Hodgenville; three great-grandchildren, Tanner Skaggs, Brooklyn Skaggs and Raylan Skaggs; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel in Hodgenville with the Rev. John Smith officiating. Burial is in the Sonora Cemetery in Sonora.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, 2016 and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home, 612 N. Lincoln Blvd., Hodgenville, is in charge of arrangements.
