Bardstown teenager indicted by grand jury on rape, sodomy charges

Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, 6 p.m. — A Bardstown teenager was indicted Wednesday on two sex-related charges by a Nelson County grand jury.

Davion Cortez Hughes, 17, was indicted on one charge each of first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy.

According to the indictment, on June 16, 2016, Hughes allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse and deviate sexual intercourse with another person by use of forcible compulsion.

Hughes’ arraignment was set for Sept. 8, 2016, in Nelson Circuit Court. His bail was set at $200,000 cash only, plus conditions.
