Water main break causes outage Friday in N. Salem Drive area

Friday, Aug. 19, 2016 — Due to a water main break, city water customers in the North Salem Drive, Woods Run Road, Autumn Avenue and parts of 
McGowan Avenue are temporarily without water.
The City of Bardstown’s Public Works Department is currently working to repair the break. Once water service is restored, a Boil Water Advisory for the affected area will be in effect.
Under a boil water advisory, the CDC recommends water be brought to a rolling boil for one minute before it is consumed in order to kill possible bacteria and viruses.
