City to begin ‘continuous’ mosquito spray operation Sunday night

Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, 3:55 p.m. — The City of Bardstown will begin an emergency mosquito spraying program on the evening of Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016.

The spraying will take place each evening as weather permits, beginning about 9:45 p.m. until dawn in the city limits. The spraying will be repeated nightly as weather allows due to the heavy amount of rain the city has received.

During fogging operations, please keep children away from the fogging vehicle, park your vehicle off the street, go inside and remain indoors while the fogging vehicle is in your neighborhood.

The material used in the fogging operation is Duet, a product registered with the EPA for public health outdoor control of mosquitoes.
