City firefighters respond for report of smoke in Scenic Drive home

Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, 10:30 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched Saturday evening for a possible structure fire at a home in the 100 block of Scenic Drive in the Springhill subdivision. Firefighters were dispatched at 8:10 p.m. after smoke was reported inside a home at that location. Firefighters traced the source of the smoke to an insulation fire in the attic of the home caused by an electrical issue. Fire department personnel were on the scene for about two hours.
