Obituary: Christine Vincent, 92, Bardstown

Christine Vincent, 92, of Bardstown, formerly of Lindseyville, departed this life on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, in Bardstown. The Edmonson County native was born July 18, 1924, to the late Willie E. Hogan and Audie Browning Hogan. She was married to the late Rev. Randel Ray Vincent.

She was a homemaker, a former member of the Order of Eastern Star # 65 and member of Midway United Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves to honor her memory, two daughters, Anita West (Junior) of Cox’s Creek and Rita Browning (Lynn) of Bardstown; two sisters, Chloie Roof of Mount Washington and Nancy Hogan of Bardstown; one brother, Willie Victor Hogan (Lois) of Bowling Green; seven grandchildren, Michelle Downs, Donna Browning, Bethany Barnett, Christina Durbin (Sam), Keith Vincent (Dale) and Paula Gravile (Earl); 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kay Vincent; two sisters, Silver Lindsey and Tina Mae Newkirk; and four brothers, the Rev. Roy Hogan, Jethro Hogan, the Rev. Almon Hogan and the Rev. Freeman Hogan.

The funeral is 11 a.m .Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at the Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel in Brownsville. Burial is in Midway Cemetery in Midway.

Visitation is 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, and 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
