JACKIE EUGENE BYRD
Jackie Eugene Byrd, 56, of Chaplin Road, Willisburg, died at 11:32 a.m., Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at his home. He was born in Louisville March 4, 1960, to James and Gracie Burkhead Byrd. He was a 1978 graduate of Washington County High School and attended the Willisburg Church Of God. He was a farmer.
Preceding him in death was his father, James E. Byrd (Nov. 23, 2009); and one nephew, Jonathan Byrd (Jan. 10, 2012).
Survivors include, his wife, Cindy Hardin Byrd; three daughters, Amanda Medley (Charlie) of Bardstown, and Brittany Michelle Byrd and Heather Byrd, both of Willisburg; his mother and stepfather, Gracie and Dany Marks of Bardstown; two sisters, Patricia Baker and Loretta Kirsch, both of Willisburg; one brother, Eddie W. Byrd of Willisburg; and three grandchildren, Colton, Emma and Caiden.
The funeral is 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at the Willisburg Church of God with the Rev. Keith Creech, Rev. Mark Speakman and Ed Hood officiating. Burial is in Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5, 2016, at the church.
Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie W. Byrd, Mike Hood, Doug Sims, Joe Miller, Ricky Burkhead and Darren Chesser.
The Carey & Son Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
