Two people injured in motorcycle crash north of Bloomfield

Monday, Sept. 5, 2016, 8 p.m. — Two people were suffered non-life threatening injuries Monday afternoon in a motorcycle accident north of Bloomfield on KY55.
At about 3:50 p.m., Nelson County EMS was dispatched for an injury accident in the 2000 block of Taylorsville Road outside Bloomfield. EMS transported the 53-year-old male motorcycle operator to Flaget Memorial Hospital with a possible shoulder injury. His passenger, a 52-year-old female, was also transported to Flaget with complaints of road rash on her left side, neck and back pain. Both riders were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
