Video: Bardstown City Council tax hearing & work session, Sept. 6, 2016

Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, 5 p.m. – The Bardstown City Council held a public hearing regarding the city’s tax rate prior to the start of its monthly working session on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016. The council discussed the 911 agreement that was accepted early in the day by Nelson Fiscal Court; Councilman Bill Buckman expressed concern regarding the relationship between city fire and police with Nelson County Dispatch. Residents of West Flaget Ave complained about a neighbor’s sump pump that pumped water into the gutter in front of their homes on the block; Barbie Bryant updated the council on the possible changes to the city’s alcohol beverage control ordinance, and the council discussed a travel reimbursement policy. Running time: 46 minutes.
