Obituary: J. B. Stone, 83, Bardstown

J. B. Stone, 83, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at Baptist Health. He was born Nov. 25, 1932, in Anco. He retired from the U.S. Air Force where he served in Korea and Vietnam. He was also retired from United States Postal Service. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Della Stone; one sister, Virginia Stone; and two brothers, John L. Stone, and James Woodrow Stone.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred Ashley Stone of Bardstown;

four children, Laney Richardson of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Jeff (Debbie) Stone of Orleans, Ind., Clint (Masako) Stone of Maysville, and Rebecca (Tim) Hahn of Cox’s Creek; two sisters; two brothers; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral is noon Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington with Pastor Jim Bratcher officiating.

Visitation is 10 a.m. – noon Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may go to Humane Society of Nelson County.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
