Obituary: Leon Clark, 86, Bardstown
Leon Clark, 86, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 27, 1930, in Nelson County. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. He worked for Buzick’s and Larry Clark Construction. He was an avid hunter, who also fished and hunted 
ginseng. He loved his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jeanny Clark; five sisters; and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bertie Clark of Bardstown; one daughter, JoAnn (Chester) Sowards of Bardstown; one son, Larry (Donna) Clark of Louisville; four grandchildren, Janet Adams, Laura Clark, Eric (Amanda) Sowards, and Stacy (Adam) Stevenson; and five great-grandchildren, Meagan Adams, Dalton Adams, Keaton Jones, Nikolas Jones and Memphis Sowards.
The funeral is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, at St. Thomas Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Jason Harris officiating.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, and 8-9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Barlow Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may go towards Masses.
