Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016 — A Louisville man was arrested early Sunday morning after police determined the man was driving a car that was reported stolen in Indiana.
According to a police department uniform citation, at about 11:58 p.m. Saturday, Bardstown Police Officer Dalton Pinkston observed a black 1998 Honda Accord driving on Stephen Foster Avenue without its lights on. During a traffic stop with the vehicle, the operator, Justin Mullins of Louisville, told Pinkston the car was not his but was owned by a man whose last name he did not know. Mullins eventually admitted the car had probably been reported as stolen out of Indiana. Nelson County Dispatch confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen.
Mullins was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000 and failure to illuminate head lamps. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
