Watt, 24, of Louisville on West John Rowan after noticing Watt’s vehicle had a tail light out. According to the uniform citation, Carrico detected the odor of marijuana coming from the driver’s side window as he approached the car. Watt admitted that he had last smoked marijuana 2 to 3 hours earlier and then drove from Louisville to Bardstown to get gas. After Carrico requested a K-9 to help search the vehicle for drugs, Watts admitted that a marijuana joint was in the car’s ashtray.

Watt was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana; operating on a suspended license; and improper equipment. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
