Obituary: Sylvia Mae Brady, 77, Louisville
Sylvia Mae Brady, 77, of Louisville, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, at her daughter’s residence. She was born Jan. 13, 1939, in Manton. She formerly worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant with St. Anthony Hospital in Louisville. She worked there 29 years until it closed. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Brady (2007); three daughters, Jo Ann Brady, Gladys Jean Brady and Charlotte White; her parents, Joseph Veller and Agnes Virginia Riggs McIntyre; five sisters, Louise Cambron, Dorothy Shanahan, Alice Mattingly, Mary Rudie and Lorene Kelty; one brother, James Earl McIntyre.
Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Brady (Kenny Scheirbaum) and Marlene Sutpin, all of Louisville; three sons, Donald Brady, Joseph (Debbie) Brady and Jeremy Brady all, of Louisville; one sister, Mary Catherine Smith of Tupelo, Miss.; one brother, J.K. McIntyre (Betty) of Louisville; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Rd. in Loretto. Burial is in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
The Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
