Driver injured early Saturday morning in single-vehicle accident

Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 — One person was injured early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle accident near the 25 mile marker on the Bluegrass Parkway. Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at about 2:11 a.m. for a report of a car that left the parkway and ran through a fence. Officers and EMS located the vehicle and its driver near the Bardstown Bourbon Co. construction site on Parkway Drive. The driver, a 32 year old man, was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital with complaints of left eye and arm pain.
