WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 14, 2016

SHOPLIFTING. At 1:08 p.m. on Sept. 14, 2016, Kevin Wade of Bardstown was arrested on one count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition – bardstownpolicepatchshoplifting after he was allegedly observed taking a DVD and concealing it in his pants. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.

SHOPLIFTING. On 353 PM Sept. 14, 2016, Zachary A. Marksbury of Bardstown was arrested on one count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition (shoplifting) after he was allegedly observed taking items and then attempting to return them for cash. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.

AI. A Springfield man was arrested early Tuesday morning Sept. 14, 2016, on Loblolly Court and charged with one count each of alcohol intoxication in a public place and disorderly conduct. According to a Bardstown Police uniform citation, Waylon L. Spalding of Springfield was allegedly intoxicated and involved in an altercation. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.

SHOPLIFTING. A Bardstown man was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, on shoplifting charges. According to the citation, Chevez D. Sanchez allegedly attempted to return items for cash that had been stolen from Walmart by another subject.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 15, 2016

DUI. At 1:04 a.m. Sept. 15, 2016, Douglas J. Gilpin of Bardstown was stopped by police after observing his vehicle make a wide turn from KY 245 onto Bloomfield Road. According to the citation, Bardstown Police Sgt. Jeremy Cauley  noted Gilpin’s eyes were allegedly watery and his speech was slurred. A breath test indicated a strong presence of alcohol. Gilpin was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence and with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked operators license.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES.  A Gravel Switch woman was arrested on the morning of Sept. 15, 2016, on drug related charges after her vehicle was stopped for cancelled license plate near the intersection of John Rowan Boulevard and North Third Street.

A vehicle operated by Virginal F. Loveland of Gravel Switch was stopped after an officer determined the tags were expired. After obtaining permission to search the vehicle and her purse, the officer allegedly located methamphetamine, suboxone, along with small plastic bags and a scale. Loveland was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substances, first-degree (methamphetamine); possession of controlled substances, first-degree (suboxone); possession of drug paraphernalia; and expired license tags.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 16, 2016

DUI. A Bardstown man was arrested early Friday morning, Sept. 16, 2016, on alcohol-related charges.

According to the uniform citation, James R. Bradley of Bardstown was arrested after he was stopped at 12:57 a.m. driving south on New Haven Road after he was observed allegedly weaving in the roadway. According to the citation, Bradley was allegedly unsteady on his feet after exiting the vehicle. After failing field sobriety tests administered by Officer D. Pinkston, a breath test indicated positive for alcohol. He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and careless driving. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.

SHOPLIFTING. A Cecilia woman was arrested by Bardstown Police early Friday afternoon, Sept. 16, 2016, on shoplifting charges.

According to the citation, Angela Dawn Lockridge was allegedly observed by Kroger employees placing items into empty Kroger bags and then exited the store without paying for the items. She was charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition, shoplifting under $500.
