Nelson Circuit Court Indictments, Aug. 17, 2016

indictmentMonday, Sept. 26, 2016, 11:50 a.m. – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016. They were for arraigned Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, unless otherwise indicated.

16-CR-229. CLARKE VAUGHN, 54, Bloomfield, cultivating marijuana, five or more plants; trafficking in marijuana; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the indictment, on May 25, 2016, Vaughn allegedly possessed marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and cultivated more than five marijuana plants with the intent to sell them. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-230. JOSEPH PARRENT, 39, Bardstown, flagrant non-support.

According to the indictment, from April 1, 2006 through Jan. 31, 2015, Parrent failed to provide support he knew he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $19,604.75. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-231. CHARLES H. OEHLER, 51, Bloomfield, assault, second-degree; wanton endangerment, first-degree, police officer (2 counts); trafficking in marijuana (8 ounces to five pounds); trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (2 or more grams methamphetamine); trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (4 or more grams cocaine).

According to the indictment, on Aug. 3, 2016, Oehler allegedly operated a motor vehicle in a manner that endangered the lives of two law enforcement officers and then struck a Nelson County deputy sheriff with the vehicle he was operating while in possession of marijuana (more than 8 ounces but less than 5 pounds) that he intended to sell; more than 2 grams of methamphetamine he intended to sell; and more than 4 grams of cocaine he intended to sell. Bail was set at $200,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-232. JOSHUA BRENT PRICE, 37, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 but less than $1 million and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, sometime between January 2013 and May 2016, Price – acting alone or in concert with Stanley Brady – allegedly took aluminum belonging to Armag Corporation having a value of $10,000 or more but less than $1 million. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-233. ORLANDO GARRIDO SIFONTES, 36, Louisville, unlawful access to a computer, first-degree (3 counts); theft by unlawful taking (3 counts).

According to the indictment, on June 13, 2016, Sifontes allegedly accessed a computer network on three occasions to unlawfully obtain money in an amount of $500 or less and belonging to another person without their consent. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-234. STANLEY TODD BRADY, 38, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking, $10,000 or more but less than $1 million and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, sometime between January 2013 and May 2016, Brady – acting alone or in concert with Joshua Brent Price – allegedly took aluminum belonging to Armag Corporation having a value of $10,000 or more but less than $1 million. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-235. ORLANDO GARRIDO SIFONTES, 36, Louisville, unlawful access to a computer, first-degree (2 counts); theft by unlawful taking (2 counts).

According to the indictment, on June 13, 2016, Sifontes allegedly accessed a computer network on two occasions to unlawfully obtain money in an amount of $500 or less and belonging to another person without the victim’s consent. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-236. JOSEPH KIDWELL, 30, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking.

According to the indictment, sometime between January 2013 and May 2016, Brady allegedly took aluminum belonging to Armag Corporation having a value of $10,000 or more. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-237. ORLANDO GARRIDO SIFONTES, 36, Louisville, unlawful access to a computer, first-degree (5 counts); unlawful access to computer, first-degree (criminal intent); theft by unlawful taking (5 counts).

According to the indictment, on May 15, 2016, Sifontes allegedly accessed a computer network to obtain money, property or services without the consent of the victim on five occasions to unlawfully obtain less than $500 each time. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-238. LATASHA A. RINGER, 29, Shelbyville, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (less than 4 grams cocaine); possession of drug paraphernalia; endangering the welfare of a minor; persistent felony offender, second-degree.

According to the indictment, on Oct. 12, 2015, Ringer allegedly sold cocaine to a confidential informant while in possession of drug paraphernalia. The indictment further alleges Ringer failed to prevent a child from becoming neglected. The indictment cites Ringer’s prior felony conviction as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

16-CR-239. DAVION CORTEZ HUGHES, 17, Bardstown, rape, first-degree; sodomy, first-degree.

According to the indictment, on June 16, 2016, Hughes allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse and deviant sexual intercourse by use of forcible compulsion. Bail was set at $200,000 cash only, plus conditions. Bail was set at $200,000 cash only, plus conditions.
