Obituary: Joseph Lambert Livers Sr., 90, Jessietown
Joseph Lambert Livers Sr., 90, of Jessietown, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, at his home. He was the son of Jim and Iduma Maupin Livers and was born Feb. 14, 1926, in Marion County.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, John Fitzgerald Kendrick “Kenny” Livers; two sisters, Lennie Metcalf and Georgia Johnson; five brothers, Albert Livers, Walter Livers, Sam “Sambo” Livers, Willie Livers and Irvin Livers; and two grandsons, Joseph “Joey” Lambert Livers III and Grant Livers.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Agnes Deverial Miles Livers; four daughters, Theresa (Keith) Richerson, Cheryl (Terry) Yares and Jackie Livers, all of Campbellsville and Margie Holtzclaw of Lebanon; four sons, Joseph Lambert “Joe” Livers Jr., Walter (Lydia) Livers and Chris Livers, all of Jessietown and Jimmy Livers of Louisville; one sister, Helen Knopp; one brother, James Livers; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at the Our Lady of Hills Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, with a 7 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon with Deacon Joe Dant.
