Obituary: James Adam Whitlock, 34, Hodgenville
James Adam Whitlock, 34, of Hodgenville, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2016, in a motorcycle accident in Nelson County. He was born in Elizabethtown on Sept. 14, 1982, the son of the late James Gregory “Greg” Whitlock and Lisa Williamson.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Gregory “Greg” Whitlock, who died July 26, 2016, in a Taylor County motorcycle accident; his paternal grandfather, James Donald Whitlock; and his maternal grandparents, James Walter “Bo” and Mary Margaret O’Bryan Williamson.
Survivors include one daughter, Lindsey Brooke Whitlock of Magnolia; two sons, Jacob Avery Whitlock and Austin Cole Whitlock, both of Magnolia; his mother, Lisa Williamson of Howardstown; four sisters, Amie (Glen) Wells of Loretto, Ashley (Michael) Rigdon of Cecilia, Summer (Chase) Cruse of Upton and Jayma Landon Whitlock of Columbia; two brothers, Jacob Andrew (Rhonda) Whitlock of Bonnieville and Chance McCrae Whitlock of Cecilia;
his grandmother, Anna Joyce Salsman Whitlock of Hodgenville; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The celebration of his life is 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel with family and friends officiating. Burial is in the Mount Tabor Church Cemetery in Buffalo.
Visitation is 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, and after 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at the funeral home.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home in Hodgenville Chapel, 612 North Lincoln Blvd., is in charge of the arrangements.
