Magnolia man was victim in Monday’s fatal motorcycle crash

Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, 3 p.m. — A Magnolia man was the victim who was killed Monday in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident on Hwy 52, New Hope Road, about a mile west of the Marion County Line.
According to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Adam Whitlock, 34, of Magnolia, suffered fatal injuries when his motorcycle left the roadway and struck a tree. The accident was not readily visible to passing motorists, and the accident site was located by family members who went searching for Whitlock after he did not return home Saturday night. Authorities say Whitlock had recently been staying with family in Loretto.
The New Hope Fire Department was dispatched to the scene to assist investigators with additional manpower.
Deputy Brian Adams of the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
