Obituary: Margaret Nalley Demar, 75, Bardstown
Margaret Nalley Demar, 75, of Bardstown, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at her home. She was born May 18, 1941, in Washington County to the late Zellar and Elizabeth Spalding Miles. She was a former employee for Nazareth Motherhouse, Tom Pig’s Restaurant and was a member at St. Gregory Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Edward Nalley; her second husband, J.E. DeMar; one daughter, Debra Ann Clark; and one a brother, Thomas Miles.
She is survived by three daughters, Pam Martin (Dale Creason) of Bardstown, Wendy (Anthony) Johnson of Culvertown and Vickie (Tommy) Clark of Bardstown; four sons, Joseph “Donnie” (Debbie) Nalley, Charles “Charlie”(Linda) Nalley and Joe Pat (Sherry) Nalley, all of Bardstown, and Richard “Richie” (Renee) Nalley of Boston; one sister, Catherine Rose Allen of Louisville; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at St. Gregory Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Culpepper Elliott will be celebrant.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, and 8:30-11 a.m. Monday at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with a prayer service 6 p.m. Sunday with Deacon Arnold Downs.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
