Man suffers minor injuries after lawn mower overturns into creek

Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, 12:01 p.m. — A Cox’s Creek man suffered minor injuries Sunday morning when the zero-turn mower he was operating flipped over into a creek, trapping him underneath.

Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Fire Department was dispatched at 11:25 a.m. to an address on Forest Springs Drive for a report of a man trapped under a lawnmower. Firefighters rescued the 37-year-old man trapped by the mower, and EMS transported him to Flaget Memorial Hospital with complaints of shoulder and back pain.
