Obituary: Dixie Ann Green, 59, Holy Cross

DIXIE ANN GREEN

Dixie Ann Green, 59, of Holy Cross, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. She was born Dec. 29, 1956, in Nelson County. She formerly worked as a farmer’s wife and was an employee of Intertec Systems in Bardstown. She loved gardening, canning, cooking and spending time with grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Thomas Green (2014); and her mother, Frances Seward Brennan.

Survivors include one daughter, Jessica Clark (Russ) of New Haven; one son, Mark Cecil (Tracey) of Boston; one sister, Kathleen Mary Booth of New Haven; one brother, Leslie Farris Brennan of New Haven; and four grandchildren, Annika Cecil, Trisden Cecil, Jax Cecil, Cody Clark.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 59 New Haven Road, Loretto, with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Bryan Lamberson officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a 7 p.m. prayer service with the Rev. Jim Cecil.

Pallbearers are Charles Seward, Jacob Green, Chris Fetner, Norman Gardner, Ernie Newton and Russ Clark.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
