Obituary: Jerry Dean Akers, 67, Lebanon

Jerry Dean Akers, 67, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at Norton Hospital in Louisville. He was born June 17, 1949, in Parkville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacol Alvis Akers and Julia Holbrook Akers.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Thomas Akers of Lebanon; two daughters, Courtney Akers (Special friend: Ben Thompson) of Loretto and Rene Whitlock of Loretto; one son, Jake (Angie) Akers of Lebanon; seven sisters; five brothers; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

The family has chosen direct cremation. There will be no visitation or funeral.

The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of the arrangements.
