Obituary: Betty Frances Mattingly, 74, Bardstown
Betty Frances Mattingly, 74, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at her residence. She was born Jan. 11, 1942, in Nelson County to the late Robert Merritt and Gladys Conder Holt. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Mattingly; three sisters, Alice Scott, Sharon Thompson, Judy Martin; and two brothers, Robert A. Holt and Arthur Holt.
She is survived by two daughters, Penny Jolicoeur of Bardstown and Cheryl (Adam) Smith of Canton, Ga; one son, David Mattingly of Bardstown; one sister, Eva (Jack) Breeding of Bardstown; one brother Donnie (Kathy) Holt of Bardstown, and six grandchildren, Matthew Jolicoeur, Erin Masterson, Ellie Mattingly, Baylen Smith, Evan Mattingly, and Dakota Smith.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2016. at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Dennis King officiating. Burial is in the Highview Cemetery at Chaplin.
Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, and noon-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
