Obituary: Larry Thomas Allen Sr., 62, Bardstown
Larry Thomas Allen Sr., 62, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at his residence. He was born Feb. 11, 1954, in Louisville to the late James E. and Elizabeth “Libby” Barnes Allen. He was a former employee of Tower Automotive. He was a wood craftsman, knife maker, and enjoyed 
fishing, hunting and camping. He was of the Lakota Sioux culture and was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
He also preceded in death by one son, Larry Thomas Allen Jr.; and a brother, Eddie Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Marie Hutchins Allen; one daughter, Joleana Dawn Allender of Bardstown; one son Jeremiah (Tabatha) Cole Allen of Bardstown; one sister, Denise Taylor of Bardstown; one sister-in-law, Donna Allen of Bardstown; and two grandsons, Isaak Allender and Jeremiah Thomas Allen.
A non ceremonial cremation was chosen. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
