Obituary: William Author Karr, 57, Bardstown

William Author Karr, 57, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at his residence. He was born April 9, 1959. He was a farmer for Dalton Lundy and attended New Salem Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father James Edward Karr.

He is survived by one stepdaughter, Dena (Anthony) Coulter of Bardstown; one stepson, Darrell Edmondson of Shepherdsville; his mother, Mary Alice Karr of Bardstown; four sisters, Rachel (Darryl) Goodpaster of Cox’s Creek, Phyllis (Frank) Lyvers of Bloomfield, Theresa Tinnell and Patricia (Ricky) Reid both of Bardstown; four brothers, James Ernest (Donna) Karr and Emmett (Sheila) Karr, both of Bloomfield and Thomas Karr (Debra) and Doug (Lynn) Karr, both of Cox’s Creek; and a longtime friend, Marie Edmondson of Bardstown.

A remembrance service is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
