Obituary: James Martin Young, 59, formerly of Springfield
James Martin Young, 59, of Byram, Miss., formerly of Springfield, died at 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at the VA Medical Center in Louisville.
He is survived by his wife, Vickye Young of Byram, Miss; four daughters, Katasa Ortega and Jasamin Young, both of Louisville, LaToya Jackson of Starkville, Miss. and Danielle Young of Bronx, N.Y.; five sons, Aquarius Young of Florence, Jerome Jackson and Jeremy Jackson, both of Byram, Miss., Victor Jackson of Ridgeland, Miss. and Nathaniel Jackson of Hattiesburg, Miss.; his parents, Leon and Fannie Young of Springfield; two sisters, Barbara Young and Bridget Malone, both of Louisville; six brothers, William Young and Terry Young, both of Springfield, Joseph Young of Georgetown, Frank Young and Thomas Young, both of Bardstown, and Brad Young of Hampton, Va.; and 13 grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Springfield with burial at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Lebanon National Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, and 7-10:30 a.m. Friday at the Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday.
