Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016

ASSAULT. A Bardstown man was arrested on assault charges following an incident that took place about 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016.

emergency4According to the citation, Bardstown Police responded to a home on South Second Street for a report of a possible domestic at that location. Police spoke with Jeffrey Scott Martin, 38, who admitted striking another person. Martin was arrested and charged with assault, fourth-degree. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.

Monday, Oct. 3, 2016

PUBLIC INTOXICATION. A Bardstown man was arrested on alcohol-related charges Monday evening in the 600 block of Allison Avenue.

According to the citation, Bardstown Police found Michael Edward Auberry, 61, with several beers in his hand and unsteady on his feet. He was advised not to return to the property. He was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place.

PUBLIC INTOXICATION. A Bardstown man was arrested for alcohol intoxication charges late Monday night, Oct. 3.

According to the citation, Jonathan L. Fulkerson, 33, was involved in an altercation on East O’Bryan Avenue. He left on foot and was intoxicated when located by police. He was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place.

Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016

ASSAULT. A Bardstown man was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, on assault-related charges after an altercation with another person.

According to the citation, Bardstown Police responded to a 911 call from an address on Cathedral Manor from a female involved in an altercation. The parties were separated when police arrived. According to the citation, the victim had a swollen jaw and twisted ankle. Kenneth W. Catlett, 47, was arrested and charged with one count of assault, fourth-degree and intimidating a participant in a legal process.

Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016

NEGLECT. A Bloomfield man and woman were cited to Nelson District Court on four counts of neglect of a child after they allegedly left their children unattended in a van in the Walmart parking lot for a period of time.

According to the citation, Bardstown Police officers were called to the Walmart parking at about 1:02 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5 after customers reported the unattended children in a vehicle. Police talked with the eldest child and were told the parents went inside to have a prescription filled. Officers waited for the parents to return to the car but they did not. A witness told officers the children had been unattended for about 25 minutes. The children were taken from the car by police to the Bardstown Police Department.

Natasha Ashcraft and Charlie Ashcraft Jr., both of Bloomfield were each cited to Nelson District Court with four counts of neglect of a child.

SHOPLIFTING. A Bardstown teen was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, on shoplifting charges from the local Kroger store.

According to the citation, Zachary A. Marksbury, 19, was allegedly observed leaving the store with several items in a hand basket without paying. He was arrested on one count of theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting under $500 and lodged in the Nelson County Jail.

PUBLIC INTOXICATION. A Louisville man was arrested Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 5, 2016, on alcohol intoxication charges.

According to the citation, officers were called at 2:50 p.m. to Murphy Oil in the Walmart parking lot for a suspicious subject who was asking women to go for a ride. Officers located Jeffrey M. Harrison, 51, of Louisville with alcohol in plain view in his van. He admitted to police he was intoxicated and trying to get sex. He was arrested on one count of alcohol intoxication in a public place and lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
