Obituary: Adrienne Louise Roberts Doyle, 90, New Haven
Adrienne Louise Roberts Doyle, 90, of New Haven, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016. She touched the lives of so many people with her love, generosity and delightful sense of humor.
She leaves her family and friends with the knowledge that they were truly loved. She was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love and the beauty and peace that would await her.
She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard Barry Doyle, who preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 2015. During their 67 year marriage they raised five girls and seven boys whom Adrienne fiercely loved and protected. Their union also resulted in 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Adrienne loved baseball, and particularly enjoyed cheering for the Chicago Cubs. She had a never-ending interest in mystery novels, Chinese checkers, crossword puzzles, and speed boxing. Although her husband Barry had amazing culinary skills, Adrienne’s favorite foods were frozen pizza, chicken nuggets and meatballs. To compliment any meal, Adrienne made extraordinary apple and pumpkin pies.
Her family is comforted in knowing that she is with Barry again, the love of her life, and they are dancing together in heaven looking down upon us.
