Obituary: Deborah Kaye ‘Debbie’ Hamilton, 57, Bardstown
Deborah Kaye “Debbie” Hamilton, 57, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. She was born Feb. 14, 1959, in Nelson County to James Donald and Bernice Kidwell Hamilton. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a child care provider. She lived her life dedicated to her family and the many children she loved and nurtured.
She was preceded in death by her father, James D. Hamilton.
She is survived by her mother, Bernice Kidwell Hamilton of Bardstown;
five sisters, Diane (Pat) Yates, Pam Hamilton, Judy (Jimmy) Cox, Vicky Hamilton, and Donna Hamilton, all of Bardstown; two special people she considered as sisters, Cheryl (John Wayne) Hall of Cox’s Creek and Karen (David) Hamilton of Bardstown; three nieces, Emily Yates, Chelsey Yates, Ella Hamilton; two nephews, James (Caitlin) Cox, and Bradley Cox; and one great-nephew, Oliver Cox.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road with a prayer service Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
