Jeep Commander stolen overnight recovered Sunday on Camptown Rd.

Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, 3 p.m. – An SUV that was reported stolen overnight Saturday night was recovered Sunday morning near a home on Camptown Road.

At about 11:30 Sunday morning, Nelson County Dispatch received a report from a Camptown Road resident who said a unknown Jeep Commander was parked near the caller’s residence. The license plate on the vehicle matched the plate on a Jeep Commander reported stolen some hours earlier from a residence on South First Street. Police recovered the vehicle and returned it to the registered owner.
