Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016

THREATS. A Bardstown man was arrested Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 11, 2016, on alcohol and weapons charges after he allegedly threatened the blotteremployees of a North Third Street convenience store.

According to the citation, Jonathan Lee Fulkerson, 33, became disorderly when he was refused alcohol at the 31E Food Mart on North Third St. He returned and threatened the clerks with a knife. When police were called, Fulkerson allegedly left the store on foot. When police made contact, he refused to comply with officers’ instructions and was tasered.

Fulkerson was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place; carrying a concealed deadly weapon and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.

Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016

DISORDERLY CONDUCT. A New Haven man was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, on disorderly conduct charges after an encounter with Bardstown Police.

According to the citation, Sean S. Hanlon, 34, of New Haven, was observed by police being chased from a home on North Moore Avenue because he was allegedly yelling and cursing the family that was outside the home. While police were talking with Hanlon, he tried twice to gain access to the officer’s police cruiser.

Hanlon was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.

Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016

CRIMINAL TRESPASSING. A Bardstown woman was arrested on alcohol-related charges following an incident that happened at around 1 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, on Hart Avenue.

According to the citation, Bardstown Police received several complaints that an intoxicated woman was attempting to enter a home on Hart Avenue. Despite a warning by police, she was later found returning to the residence and caused a disturbance.

Police arrested Julia A. Thomas, 28, of Bardstown, on charges of third-degree criminal trespassing and alcohol intoxication in a public place. She was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.

Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016

DUI. A Mount Washington man was arrested on alcohol-related charges early Sunday morning, Oct. 16, 2016.

According to the citation, a Nelson County deputy sheriff observed a vehicle strike a parked vehicle in the area of North Third Street. Bardstown Police responded and found the driver sitting on the sidewalk behind his car. He told police he had been drinking and was unable to drive. The man did not cooperate with officers’ field sobriety tests; the citation states the man told officers “he was too drunk and we didn’t need to do any test to tell that.”

Alexander M. Gutierrez, 34, of Mount Washington, was arrested on one charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.

Monday, Oct. 17, 2016

OUTSTANDING WARRANTS. A Bardstown man was arrested after on outstanding arrest warrants after he was stopped Monday evening, Oct. 17, 2016 for a traffic violation.

According to the citation, Jordan T. Monin, 25, was stopped by a Bardstown Police officer at 8:10 p.m. after he failed to use a turn signal while turning from Barber Avenue onto North Third Street. During the traffic stop, it was discovered Monin had two outstanding warrants. He was also charged with driving on a suspended operators license; operating a vehicle without valid tags or proof of insurance; and failure to signal. He was arrested and lodged in the Nelson County Jail.

Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016

SHOPLIFTING. A Bardstown woman was arrested Tuesday evening, Oct. 18, 2016, on theft and alcohol-related charges.

According to the citation, Amber S. Gritton, 24, of Bardstown, was observed attempting to leave Krogers without paying for a 30-pack of Budweiser 12 ounce cans. According to police, Gritton smelled strongly of alcohol and was unsteady on her feet. She was charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition — shoplifting under $500, and one count of alcohol intoxication in a public place. She was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
