One person injured in early morning crash Wednesday near Howardstown

Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, 12:30 p.m. — One person was injured Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle accident on Stiles Road south of Howardstown emslogonear its intersection with Flats Road.

According to a Nelson County Sheriff’s Office press release, Dustin Edlin, 20, of New Hope, was driving north on Stiles Road when he lost control of the 1999 Buick he was operating. The vehicle left the road and overturned, striking a mailbox in the 5700 block of Stiles Road.

Edlin was treated at the scene by Nelson County EMS and transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital.

K-9 Deputy Jerry Hardin investigated the accident.
