Obituary: Lola Carney, 80, Washington County
Lola Carney, 80, of Washington County, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at Springfield Nursing and Rehab. She was born March 31, 1936, in Washington County. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Carney; three sisters, Annie Mae Curtsinger, Martha Ellen Newton and Alice Perkins; and three brothers, Eddie Foster, Ben Foster and Carl Foster.
She is survived by four children, Wanda Stone, Donnie Carney and Steve Carney, all of Washington County and Jane Curtsinger of Marion County ; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
A prayer service is 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in New Hope Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 6 pm Sunday, November 6, 2016 and 9 to 11 am Monday, November 7, 2016 at Barlow Funeral Home.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
