Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, 6 p.m. – The Bardstown City Council held a special-called meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016. The meeting was moved to Wednesday because Tuesday was Election Day. The meeting featured the swearing-in of new Bardstown Police Chief Steven Uram. The council also discussed the personal use of the council iPads; the policy regarding take-home cars in the city police department; the origins of the anonymous packets left at the last meeting containing public records of Councilwoman Kecia Copeland; and how Copeland’s private emails on her iPad were released and discussed at a public meeting. The council also approved a municipal order related to collection of the E-911 fees placed on city residents, as well as changes to the city’s compensation and classification plan to accommodate for the fire departments grant to fund a firefighter retention and recruitment person. Running time: About 1 hour, 39 minutes.
