Bardstown Police investigating Wednesday’s Watts Court house fire

Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, 3 p.m. — Bardstown Police are investigating the fire that heavily damaged a Watts Court home owned by Brooks Houck Wednesday morning just after 9 a.m.
Nelson County Dispatch received a call from a passer-by reporting the fire at about 9:14 a.m. When firefighters arrived at the home, located at 107 Watts Court, they found heavy smoke coming from the home and flames were already through the roof at the rear.
Firefighters reported they had the fire under control at about 9:36 a.m., and salvage operations were to commence. The American Red Cross was requested to come to the scene and assist residents with immediate housing needs.
PVA records indicate the home is owned by Houck Rentals LLC, a limited liability corporation owned by Brooks Houck, the boyfriend of Crystal Rogers, who has been missing since July 2015.
