NARFE 1050 members briefed on changes to to insurance coverages

Susan Horn from Blue Cross/Blue Shield briefed NARFE 1050 members on the changes that will be effective in 2017 at the group’s last meeting. The next meeting is 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2017.

Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, 3 p.m. — During the November meeting of Chapter 1050 of The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), Susan Horn from Blue Cross/Blue Shield briefed NARFE 1050 members on the changes that will be effective in 2017. Changes include premium increases and changes in coverage to certain benefits such as dental and vision.

Open Season runs through December 12, 2016. If you have questions or to request plan brochures you call the National Information Center at 1-800-411-BLUE (2583), weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern time.

The next NARFE chapter meeting is 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, in the community meeting room of the Nolin RECC building, 411 Ring Road, Elizabethtown. The guest speaker is Phyllis Hidgon Gentry, who volunteers at the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Site located in Hodgenville.
