Obituary: Nancy Lee Philpot, 65, Bardstown
Nancy Lee Philpot, 65, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at Kindred Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born Aug. 5, 1951, in Louisville to the late Raymond and Allene Owens Shepherd. She was a homemaker and loved animals and helping the Nelson County Humane Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan D. Philpot; and one brother Richard Owen Shepherd.
She is survived by one stepdaughter, Elizabeth Margaret “Beth” Lovett of Denton, Texas; three sisters, Wanda Rayma Dean (Ray) Yocum of Scottsburg, Ind., Carla Tindle of Bardstown and Marsha (Neil) Keaton of Bloomfield; two brothers, David (Ceely) Shepherd of Crestview, Fla. and Robert Philip (Catherine) Shepherd of Taylorsville; two stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance Memorial service is 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Rd. A private burial is Thursday at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff.
Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
