Obituary: Joann Nalley Malone, 85

JOANN NALLEY MALONE

Joann Nalley Malone, 85, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, in Louisville. She was born in Loretto on March 4, 1931. She was the daughter of Lesley and Leona Nalley. She grew up in Loretto with her three sisters, Imelda, Eleanor and Bobbie, and a brother, Sam, who all preceded her in death. She married Joseph Harold Malone on May 14, 1945. They were married for 50 years at the time of his death in Feb. 2005.

She is survived by two daughters, Theresa Malone (Steve Hinnefeld) and Joni Malone Sholtes; three sons, Jude (Teresa) Malone, Michael Malone and Joe Malone; one sister in-law, Ruthie Malone Browning; one brother in-law, Bobby Buckman; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Raywick with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home , 3800 Bardstown Rd. in Louisville.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
