Obituary: Sister M. Anne Michelle La Marre SL, 88 , Nerinx

Sister M. Anne Michelle La Marre, SL, 88 ,of Nerinx, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary. She was born Nov. 24, 1928, in Kankakee, Ill. to the late Eugene Jerome and Mary Louise Legris La Marre. She entered religious life in 1946 and received her finals vows in 1952. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Loretto Heights College in Denver, Colo. in 1963 and her master’s degree from Webster University in Kansas, City, Mo. in 1978. Her assignments were in Texas, Missouri and Illinois. She retired to the Loretto Motherhouse earlier this year.

She bequeathed her body to the U of L Medical Center. A memorial mass Mill be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at the Loretto Motherhouse church.

The Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
