Obituary: Alice Filiatreau, 74, Bardstown

Alice Filiatreau, 74, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at her residence. She was born March 14, 1942, in Fairfield to the late William “Bill” and Margie Gritton Greenwell. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Robinson and Betty Herbig; and two brothers, Joe Greenwell and Bernie Greenwell.

She is survived by her husband, George Filiatreau; one daughter, Marie Filiatreau (Tony Underwood) of Buffalo; four sons, Jodie (Frances) Filiatreau of Bardstown, Mike (Helen) Filiatreau and Mark (Melissa) Filiatreau, both of Cox’s Creek, and Chuck (Angel) Filiatreau of Bloomfield; one sister, Judy Miller of Taylorsville; one brother, Ronnie (Joyce) Greenwell of Cox’s Creek; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Jason Harris and the Rev. Terry Bradshaw concelebrating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6 p.m.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
