One dead, one injured in Wednesday morning 3-car crash on North Third

Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, 9 a.m.– One person died and another was injured Wednesday morning in three-vehicle crash that happened at about 8:15 a.m. near the intersection of North Third and Old Nazareth Road.

Bardstown Fire and Police and Nelson County EMS were dispatched to the scene. A nurse who was at the accident scene began CPR on a crash victim who was not breathing while emergency crews were responding. Firefighters had to extricate one of the crash victims from their vehicle. Police blocked the roadway while first-responders worked the accident.

EMS treated a 37-year-old woman at the scene and transported her to Flaget Memorial Hospital.

The identify of the accident victims are not yet available.
