Obituary: Robert Edward ‘Buck’ Hill Sr., 91, Lebanon
Robert Edward “Buck” Hill Sr., 91, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at Spring View Hospital. He was born Nov. 3, 1925, in Lebanon. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Chuch and former owner of the Growers Tobacco Warehouse. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louis Borders Hill; one son, Dr. Kenneth Hill; his parents, Charles Arthur and Mary Louise Edelen Hill; one sister, Agnes Hill; and one brother, Wilburn Hill.
Survivors include five daughters, Patricia (Cecil) Hays of Versailles, Ruth (Danny) Brady and Susan (James) Young, both of Lebanon, and Linda (Ken) York and Brenda Hill (Nick Thome), both of Louisville; one son, Eddie Hill (Carolyn Brahm) of Lebanon; seven sisters, Mary Ellen Jarboe of Bardstown, Dorothy (Julian) Edelen of Springfield, Imogene (Bob) Spalding and Laurencia Brussell, both of Lebanon, Louise Eichenberger of Louisville, Margaret Marshman of Chicago, and Jane (Jack) McGowan of Middletown, Del.; one sister-in-law, Veronica Hill of Lebanon; one daughter-in-law, Pam Hill Puckett of Newport, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lebanon with burial in the church cemetery with military honors conducted by the Marion County Veteran Honor Guard.
Visitation is 4-8:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016, at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon with a 7 p.m. prayer service Sunday at the funeral home.
