Obituary: Nancy Jo Allen O’Bryan, 72, Corbin

Nancy Jo Allen O’Bryan, 72, of Corbin, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at Baptist Regional Medical Center. She was born May 31, 1944, in Bardstown. She was a homemaker and a long-time member of Botland Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Edith Greer Allen; two sisters, Peggy Allen Schooler and Elaine Allen Stephens; four brothers, Herbert Allen, Clifton E. “C.E.” Allen, Dewey Allen and Jack Reginald Allen Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Donnie O’Bryan of Corbin; one daughter, Ashely (Jeff) Philpot of Corbin; one son, Todd O’Bryan of Hayward, Calif.; one brother, Fred (Jo Ann) Allen of Bardstown; one granddaughter, Josie Philpot of Corbin; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at Barlow Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Bennett officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 1-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016, and 9-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
